The organizers of the protests demanding the resignation of Premier Borissov and this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev are calling for a mass protest on September 2 when Bulgaria’s National Assembly is expected to hold its first session after the summer vacation.

Three major intersections in Sofia remained blocked by tent camps. Currently, the atmosphere at the camps is calm. Bulgarian emigrants who arrived in their home country to join the protests are among the inhabitants of the protest camps.

Last night traditional protests were held in other Bulgarian towns. A car rally took place at Sofia-Varna first class road in the town of Veliko Tarnovo.

Protesters joined a street procession in the Danube city of Ruse for the 46th consecutive day. In Bulgaria’s second-largest city Plovdiv citizens demanded the resignations of Bulgaria’s government and this country’s prosecutor General at a meeting held in front of the municipality administration building, BNT informs.
