Representatives of transport and agriculture companies from the region of Gotse Delchev, Southwestern Bulgaria and the nearby municipalities are launching again a protest to demand the opening of Ilinden-Exochi border checkpoint at the Bulgaria-Greece border. The protest is scheduled for 5 pm on Bansko-Gotse Delchev road near the village of Gospodintsi. The Greek business from Drama and Kavala areas demands the same. Such protest was held last week already. On Monday Premier Boyko Borissov raised the issue of lifting the bans that impede trade and tourist travel at a meeting with his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens.

The Greek authorities closed Ilinden-Exochi border crossing for all types of vehicles until August 31 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
