Ludogorets knocked out of Champions League

Bulgarian football champion Ludogorets said goodbye to hopes of continuing forward in the Champions League. “The Eagles” were eliminated in the second preliminary round after a 0-1 loss at home by the Danish FC Midtjylland. The only goal in Razgrad was scored by Junior Brumado in the 78th minute. The good news for the Bulgarian champion is that it will continue its participation in the Europa League.

On the evening of August 27, 3 other Bulgarian teams will start participating in the first qualifying round of the Europa League football tournament. CSKA Sofia welcomes the Maltese Sirens at the Bulgarian Army Stadium. Slavia is visitingKukësi in Albania. And in Montenegro, the local Iskra will face Lokomotiv (Plovdiv).
