Because of clashes during the anti-government protests in Sofia on September 2, 2020 and last night, the prosecutor's office has charged 34 people.

30 of them are accused of hooliganism after throwing improvised explosive devices, glass bottles, stones and other objects at police officers, non-compliance with orders and resisting police officers. Three have been charged with causing bodily harm to a police officer, and one has been charged over murder threats.

For 24 of the detainees, permanent arrest will be requested, and the rest have been released under bail or other measure, the Sofia Prosecutor's Office announced.
