Truck traffic was restored across Ilinden-Exochi border checkpoint with Greece at midnight.

Drivers will be allowed through if they have a QR code for entering Greek territory. Bulgarian operators are happy with the reopening of the border crossing but are considering taking collective action in Brussels against Greece over the violation of the principle of the free movement of goods, services and capital. They plan to seek financial compensations for their losses from the Greek side, BNT reports.

The border crossing was closed by the Greek authorities as a precaution against the spread of coronavirus.
