On the 62nd day of anti-government protests in Bulgaria, citizens demanding the resignation of the government and the chief prosecutor will hold their traditional protest march in central Sofia.

The leaders of the anti-corruption protests in Bulgaria have sent an address to the ambassadors in Sofia, claiming that the civil peace in the country is threatened. The address has been sent to the ambassadors of the EU countries, the USA and Great Britain, as well as to the representation of the European Commission.

In an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, the chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation Lozan Panov claims that in Bulgaria there is an oligarchic merger of the legislative and executive powers, as well as the judiciary. Panov calls on Europe not to turn a blind eye to what is happening in the country.

In front of one of the regional police departments in Sofia, protesters demanded that the authorities return to them the confiscated equipment from the tent camps, which blocked key intersections in the capital and were forcibly removed by the police.

65% of CITUB trade union members believe that there is ample ground for protests, a survey of the largest trade union confederation in Bulgaria shows. Yet less than 20% would like to join the protets and to see CITUB join the protests against the government of Boyko Borissov, CITUB President Plamen Dimitrov told BNR.
