"The time for the expert cabinet option is long gone." This was said by Vice President Iliana Iotova in an interview with the BNT regarding the situation in the country and the ongoing y anti-government protests continuing for 66 days now. According to Yotova, such a cabinet would bear the mark of "behind the scenes" actions and would go against people's demands.
The dialogue in the country cannot be normalized until elections are held, the vice president believes. Civil discontent, in which young people are the main participants, is against the political system, which they do not accept. This is not a political party or social protest, but a protest demanding rule of law, Iotova stressed.
She pointed out that 62% of Bulgarian citizens, even if they do not go out to the streets, support the protest and this figure has remained stable since the beginning of the civil discontent.
