First two repaired Su-25 aircraft arrive in Bulgaria

Two Su-25 jet airplanes, which are the first repaired military machines for the last 18 years, have arrived in Bulgaria. The planes underwent a major overhaul at the 558 Aircraft Repair Plant in Baranovichi, Belarus. They have acquired an expanded arsenal of possible ammunition, increased accuracy of destruction, increased distance from which the aircraft can hit ground targets, the Ministry of Defense has announced.

A total of 8 aircraft must be repaired under the contract. The last two Su-25s must be returned to Bulgaria's Bezmer Air Base by the end of February 2021, BTA reports.
