The percentage of schoolchildren affected by coronavirus could reach 1% at most: Minister of Education

“Four in 1,000 school classes in the country have been quarantined since the beginning of the school year. 0.01% of the schoolchildren and 0.09% have been infected with coronavirus,” said Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev in Varna.

“We are not planning a complete switchover of the system to e-learning. What we discussed and chose during the summer is actually what is happening in all countries - a switchover for individual classes, I hope there will be no switchover for whole schools, or municipalities or regions. If the level of average daily infections keep, then the maximum percentage of schoolchildren affected in the country could reach 1%,” Minister Valchev said.
