Bulgaria's gross external debt at the end of July 2020 was 35 billion and 611 million euros. This is 62.7% of the country's GDP, the Bulgarian National Bank has announced. Compared to a year earlier, the debt increased by 581.4 million euros. Long-term liabilities amount to EUR 27 billion 744 million or 78% of total gross external debt. The gross debt of the government sector is 5 billion 681 million euros or 10% of the country's GDP. Compared to July 2019, it increased by 4.7 percent to 254 million euros, the BNB has reported.
