Parliament rejects president's veto on Judiciary Act

With 149 votes in favor, lawmakers rejected the president's veto on the Judiciary Act.

The veto of Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev focused on texts that preserve the possibility of higher positions for members of the Supreme Judicial Council after the end of their term in office. According to him, this contradicts the constitutional principles, including equality and non-admission of privileges based on personal or social status, BNR reporters informed.
