"Social dialogue and collective agreements in the system of preschool and school education" is the topic of a branch forum in Sofia, which will be hosted by CITUB today.
According to the provisions of the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA), signed by the Minister of Education Krassimir Valchev and the nationally representative trade unions and employers' organizations in education /in August this year/, the rise in individual salaries of pedagogical specialists in the education system will be between 15 and 16.1 percent from January 1, 2021.
The starting basic salary for a teacher becomes BGN 1,260.
The collective agreement also provides for educational institutions to plan not less than 2.5% and not more than 3.5% of the annual amount of funds for salaries of non-teaching staff for additional remuneration.
The compensation that teachers will receive upon retirement is expected to be in the amount of 11 gross salaries starting January 1, 2021, which will be provided under a national program.
