Heavy outbound lorry traffic at border crossings with Romania and Turkey

Outbound lorry traffic is heavy on Wednesday morning at the border checkpoints with Romania – Rousse-Danube bridge, and with Turkey – Lesovo border checkpoint.

There are no coronavirus restrictions in place for arrivals in Turkey from Bulgaria. The passage of people and vehicles has temporarily been suspended by the Romanian side at the border checkpoints opposite the Bulgarian Kaynardja and Krushari.

At the border with Greece traffic is normal at all border crossings. At Ilinden-Exochi border checkpoint only lorries with one driver are allowed through after showing a QR code. Tourists can only enter Greece across Kulata-Promachonas border crossing, and only with a negative PCR test taken less than 72 horus previously. Tourists enter Bulgaria from Greece across Kulata and Makaza border crossings.

On the border with Serbia traffic is normal at all border checkpoints. Arrivals from Bulgaria have to show a negative PCR test performed less than 48 hours previously.

On the border with North Macedonia traffic is normal at all border crossings. There are no restrictions for arrivals from Bulgaria.
