I have no worries about any forms of control, said Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev before the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, BGNES reported. The chief prosecutor presented the report on the institution's activities, requested by the opposition.

There is 90.7% reduction in telephone frauds in 2020, Geshev reported. He also pointed out the huge amount of detected illegal waste. It could turn out that we are number 1 in the number of convicted persons in the EU, Geshev pointed out.

Asked about the EU's criticism on justice in Bulgaria, Geshev said Bulgaria was already in a pre-election situation. The prosecutor's office and the chief prosecutor will not participate in this process, we are not players in this field, the magistrate added.
