The 101st protest against the ruling government in Bulgaria is planned to take place this evening. It will be held in the center of Sofia at the usual place - in front of the presidency building. The 100th day of anti-government protests in Sofia yesterday, which was called 5th Grand People’s Uprising, passed under heavy rain and some tension between protesters and the police.

Protesters called for the resignation of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and of the entire government, for the resignation of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and that of BNT Director General Emil Kushlukov, our reporters Nadezhda Nikolova and Tsvetelina Stoyanova informed.

Protesters received on-the-spot support from MEPs from Croatia and the Netherlands. MEP Ramona Strugariou joined via video link. She announced that the victory achieved in Brussels was a victory for every Bulgarian who had been in the streets and squares for the past 100 days. Tensions erupted in front of BNT after dozens of protesters tried to break into the building with the intention of participating in the political analysis show "Panorama”

Objects were thrown and one of the windows of the National Television was broken.

Guest on the show at the time was Arman Babikyan of the Poison Trio, the initiator of the protests.

Shortly before 11 pm, some of the protesters dispersed, while others blocked the intersection at Eagles’ Bridge for a short time before the protest ended.
