Bulgaria will receive two F-16 training aircraft from the United States. This became clear after the visit of US Assistant Secretary of State for Political and Military Affairs Clarke Cooper to Bulgarian military bases.
The aircraft have been decommissioned and will be used as aids for training and general acquaintance with the equipment. Four pilots are already being trained in the United States to fly the new fighters.
Bulgaria has already purchased eight F-16s from the United States, but recently requested eight more.
