“The project for turning Sts. Quiricus and Julietta Island near Sozopol into an island of the arts is to be completed within 6 months,” said Minister of Culture Boil Banov after a meeting with representatives of the French agency of museums and diplomats from France and the United Arab Emirates.

Under the project the island is to be incorporated into a network with the Louvre museum in Paris and the Louvre museum in Abu Dhabi. According to the concept the museum infrastructure is to develop in direct relation to the immovable cultural heritage on the island, the archaeological discoveries in the surrounding body of water, as well as the natural landscape.
