Bulgaria reports 816 new cases of Covid-19 out of 2,716 PCR tests performed

816 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 2,716 PCR tests performed. 30% of the PCR tests have returned positive, data of the Single Information Portal show. The highest number of new infections was registered in Sofia-193, followed by Burgas-81, Varna-64 and Kyustendil-64 cases.

570 patients have recovered and 39 people have died in the past 24 hours. 5,247 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals, 293 of whom in intensive care units. The number of active cases in Bulgaria reached 66,746. A total of 2,130 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
