Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov held a phone conversation with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama, BTA informs. “Bulgaria firmly supports Albania on its path towards EU membership. We believe that you have shown your commitment to European values, as well as responsibility and motivation to move forward and you have our support”, Premier Borissov underlined.

Bulgaria is among the countries that insisted on North Macedonia’s EU accession the most. Our efforts have always been focused on reaching consensus on issues important to both sides. Unfortunately, such commitment is not shown by Skopje. We are ready to continue the talks and work actively to implement the Good Neighbor Agreement, Boyko Borissov further told Edi Rama.
