6% of Bulgarians have had a Covid-19 infection and 5% are currently suffering from coronavirus, indicates a study by the Institute for Population and Human Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The fear of getting infected has increased sharply. 60% believe that they cannot avoid the risk. Among the respondents there is distrust of the information about the pandemic, which makes the crisis management very complicated, the director of the institute Prof. Antoaneta Hristova told Nova TV.

If in March this year 84% supported the government's measures against the pandemic, now they are 35%. Anxiety returns to the levels of March 2020, when the average was 5.4, compared to the current 5.55, estimated on a ten-point scale.
