Following the example of a number of European countries, we must strengthen the anti-epidemic measures and impose at least 3 weeks of full lockdown, Valeri Simeonov, leader of the co-ruling National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB), told TV Europe. Simeonov has already announced his position to GERB's partners and the measures will be discussed at a political council next week. He does not accept the argument that closing the country could shake the economy because the epidemic is overloading the country's healthcare system.

After the adoption of the state budget, Simeonov, who is deputy speaker of parliament, will make a proposal that MPs should be able to work remotely, the politician said.
