"We are in a deepening socio-economic crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why we must quickly approve the next EU budget for 2021-2027 and the Recovery Package", Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said in an online meeting with the ambassadors of EU countries and Switzerland to Bulgaria.

During the meeting, Borissov recalled that during the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU, the European future of the Western Balkans was placed high on the community's agenda. Regarding the European integration of North Macedonia, Borissov pointed out that Bulgaria had always been ready for dialogue and understanding in resolving bilateral issues. But this must be desired and implemented by both parties, he added, as quoted by BTA.
