Former Macedonian Prime Minister Vlado Bučkovski has been appointed by the North Macedonian government as special representative for Bulgaria, BGNES reported. His mission in Sofia will be to negotiate agreement on the bilateral disputes over the language and common history so that the Bulgarian veto on the start of the negotiating process for North Macedonia's EU accession could be lifted.
Vlado Bučkovski who is a university professor and former chairman of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) believes that North Macedonia has no alternative but membership in the European Union.
