Recovery plan could help boost Bulgaria’s GDP by around 20%: Tomislav Donchev

During discussions at the presentation of the second pillar of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan – Green Bulgaria – Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev stated that Bulgaria must set itself the aim of increasing its Gross Domestic Product by around 20%, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

Tomislav Dopnchev emphasized that Bulgaria entered the EU with a GDP close to 31% of the European average, but that now its GDP has reached 51%. The aim is for the country to reach the 70% mark within 10 years. Donchev indicated that the Recovery and Sustainability Plan will be instrumental to this.
