The Federation of Taxi Drivers and Carriers in Bulgaria organise a nationwide protest on December 15, BTA has reported.

In Sofia, the protest started with a rally in three directions. Drivers call for adequate working conditions, updating the tariffs for taxi transport, equating their activities to public transport. They also want the industry to completely abolish the patent tax for 2021, for panic buttons in their cars and for technical inspections to be valid for 1 year. They also want a ban on the Maxim app for shared travel, enough taxi ranks in the capital city and cameras monitoring them.
