Voting for Bulgaria's favourite tree kicks off

The voting for a favourite Bulgarian tree has begun in the 11th consecutive edition of the competition, which collects the stories of trees that have left deep memories in people's hearts. The voting is open from December 25, 2020 to January 20, 2021 on the website of the EcoCommunity Foundation. 

The jury has selected 3 finalists in the Century-old Trees category and 10 finalists which will compete for the title Tree with a root in 2020. 

The three century-old trees are a chestnut tree in the yard of the nunnery of the Presentation of the Theotokos in Kazanlak, a mulberry tree in the town of Veliki Preslav and cerris oak tree near the village of Klisura, Samokov municipality.
