People say that true talent is inimitable, there is always something unique and deeply personal in it, even though in the end it belongs to the world. It would always find its way, no matter the difficulties. This has been proved by the thousands of musicians, artists, dancers, etc who generously shared their art online during isolation - in live performances and through recordings… On the last day of 2020 we have selected for you three videos of world famous Bulgarian performers - Sonya Yoncheva, Vesko Eschkenazy and Vasko Vassilev. They have long been a benchmark for professionalism, their names are known to professionals and fans around the world. Ambassadors of high art with enormous achievements, they are not afraid to show their “less serious side”.
Vesko Panteleev Eschkenazy is longtime concertmaster of the Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, soloist, chamber musician with many collaborations.
His project together with Pechenkata - a famous beatboxer, was to be realised in 2020. But they had to do it remotely. Here is one of the plays:
World-famous soprano Sonya Yoncheva has won the hearts of music lovers who watched the online concert in front of the Eiffel Tower on the occasion of the French National Holiday, which was broadcast around the world.
At the Salzburg Festival she performed a favorite Bulgarian song with its traditional compound time signature. However, the video we offer you presents Sonya in an unusual role. It is a nice reminder of her most successful project - the family.
Artistry, virtuoso mastery of the instrument, good sense of humor and real joy of making music - qualities inherent only in great talents, those who live for art and the audience. No matter what kind of music you like, we hope you will appreciate all these qualities in the video of Vasko Vassilev, Ara Malikian, Juan Heredia, Victor Valleja.
Let the joy and energy of their music bring you good mood and bright thoughts for welcoming the next and hopefully better 2021!
