17,038 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered so far in Bulgaria. The percentage of inoculations in Bulgaria is similar to those in Finland, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. There have been two inoculations per 1,000 people in Bulgaria, Professor Todor Kantardzhiev, Director of the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases and member of the National Operational Headquarters for Combating Coronavirus said for BNT.

In his view, it is most likely that the "British strain" of the virus is already in Bulgaria, for which there are indirect data. Professor Kantardzhiev predicts a serious decrease in the number of new coronavirus infections in the summer. According to him, the immunity from Covid-19 vaccines lasts for 7 to 8 months.
