The initial charge for getting a taxi could rise up to three times higher than the price per kilometer. This is what a new ordinance signed by Minister of Transport Rosen Zhelyazkov envisages. The change is related to the Road Transport Act.

After the changes, if today in Sofia the minimum daily fare today is 0.77 BGN (0.39 EUR) per kilometer and the night fare is - 0.88 (0.45 EUR), the initial charge could become 1.54 BGN (0.79 EUR) during the day and BGN 1.76 (EUR 0.9) during the night, the Taxi Union has told BNR.
