Avalanche risk remains high in Bulgarian mountains

There are prerequisites for worsening of the avalanche-risk situation, so it is not recommended to walk in the mountains in the coming weekend, Tervel Totev from the Mountain Rescue Service warned in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television.

"Walking even along the marked winter routes does not currently guarantee the safety of a person in the mountains," he said.

Yesterday avalanches fell in the mountains Rila, Pirin and Vitosha, fortunately - without casualties.
