IMF appoints new chief of mission for Bulgaria

Jean-François Dauphin has been appointed Chief of the Mission of the European Department of the International Monetary Fund for Bulgaria since February 1, 2021. This was announced to BTA by the Fund's Permanent Representation in Bulgaria.

Dauphin is also currently chief of the mission to Hungary. At the IMF, he has worked in North and Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America and Eastern Europe and has contributed to the development of IMF policies in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department. 

Prior to joining the IMF, he worked in the private financial sector and at Banque de France, and taught economics and statistics in France and Rwanda.
