The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death of a 16-year-old boy who died on a sidewalk in the capital Sofia on February 14. He suffered an electric shock while waiting with his father at a traffic light to cross a Sofia boulevard.
The cause of the accident was a high-risk conductor coming out of a street shaft and leading to a pavilion in the yard of the adjacent St. Ivan Rilski Hospital.
The boy was taken to the Military Medical Academy, where despite the efforts of the medical staff he died in the shock room.
