Bulgaria calls on EU to protect free movement

"I call for the urgent protection of transport traffic and for maintaining the normal functioning of the 'green corridors'". This was what Bulgarian Minister of Transport wrote in a letter to the EU Commissioner for Transport Adina-Ioana Vălean.

The reason for the letter is unilaterally applied measures and restrictions on drivers by Member States. They lead to difficulties in transporting goods by road across the EU. "I think that without taking swift and adequate action at EU level to address these issues, we are taking a step back to the pandemic conditions of March 2020," the Minister was quoted as saying by BGNES.
