The administrative court in Burgas has ruled that the construction permit for the construction of Alepu Village resort complex in the protected area Alepu near Sozopol on the Black Sea is void.

The court’s reasoning is that forgery of documents and other crimes have been ascertained and that the construction permit has been issued in contravention of the provisions of the law. The construction work triggered a great many civil protests last summer.

The case was opened in June 2020. The court has ruled that the construction must be removed. The decision is subject to appeal.

Reporting by BNR’s correspondent in Burgas Daniela Kostadinova.
