Bulgaria’s National Assembly has adopted amendments to the Road Traffic Act. Thus, people who sold their cars before December 27, 2017, will be able to write them off in the Traffic Police only with the contract of sale. The latest amendment is expected to stop the vicious practice of unscrupulous buyers who avoid registering the car and the vehicle remains the property of the seller.
The provisions will also apply in the event that the ownership of the vehicle is transferred to persons without Bulgarian citizenship or the contract of sale is signed outside Bulgaria, BNR’s reporter Dobrina Karambolova informed.
