“The crisis has shown that no country can tackle the pandemic by itself. The world is talking of a “Bulgarian model”, of the balance we are finding of preserving lives and not shutting down the economy,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva said for BNT.

“The EU recovery plan opens up unprecedented opportunities for the member countries to modernize their economies. For us, this will lead to an annual growth of the economy of 3.5%,” Minister Zaharieva said.

Regarding North Macedonia, Ekaterina Zaharieva stated that Bulgaria has a consistent policy and that the reason why Skopje is not making any headway on its way to the EU is its failure to fulfil the 2017 bilateral agreement.
