An additional three sections, or a total of 11, have been opened in Belgium for voting of Bulgarian citizens in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Bulgaria on April 4.  In Luxembourg, 2 sections will be opened for the first time.

There will be a section in Hassel, East Flanders, for the first time. In Ghent and Antwerp, where the largest Bulgarian communities are after Brussels, there will be 2 sections each, the Bulgarian Ambassador to both countries Plamen Bonchev said, speaking to BNR's Horizon channel.

The main challenges for the April 4 vote in Belgium and Luxembourg are the physical distancing requirements due to Covid-19, the likelihood of more people wanting to vote, and the curfew imposed in the kingdom. Plamen Bonchev added that the Belgian police had sent an explicit instruction that if there was a crowd, they could intervene. In Luxembourg, under no circumstances may more than 100 people gather in one place.
