Pandemic is boosting e-filing of tax returns: National Revenue Agency

“More than 90% of tax returns are submitted electronically, even by natural persons. This is greatly influenced by the Covid crisis, but also by the digitization of the services,” Rosen Bachvarov spokesperson for the National Revenue Agency said for BNT.

“In 90% of the cases a work certificate no longer needs to be submitted. Pre-filled tax returns are an estimate, they are not obligatory and are not considered as submitted – the pre-filled data in them can be corrected. All kinds of corrections are admissible prior to their conclusive submission. The agency offers over 100 different kinds of e-services,” Rosen Bachvarov added.
