Students at the 171st “Stoil Popov” school in the town of Novi Iskar will be spending more time outdoors after attendance classes resume on April 12. New classrooms will provide an opportunity to hold classes in the open air when the weather is sunny and warm. The places are arranged separately and are situated among greenery, shrubs and flowers.

“Stoil Popov” School was founded more than 150 years ago and is one of the oldest in the town. Unlike other settlements in the country, where schools are closing due to the demographic crisis, the number of students in this school has been constantly rising with 256 children currently studying there.

The school management hopes that the open classrooms will help children and teachers overcome stress caused by the constant alternation between face-to-face and online classes.
