As of today, the French-German consortium SOF Connect is the official and only operator at Sofia Airport. Iliyana Tsanova, former Deputy Executive Director of the European Fund for Strategic Investment, will chair the board as an independent member.

Yesterday, the consortium made the full payment of the initial concession fee in the amount of BGN 660 million /EUR 337 million/ (including VAT), which will go directly to the state budget for 2021. The total amount of the planned investment is EUR 624 million, BNR reported.
