At the EU General Affairs Council, Bulgaria’s ambassador Dimiter Tzanchev stated that Bulgaria supports the EU enlargement policy in strict compliance with all criteria. “We support the integration of Albania and North Macedonia but, unfortunately, Skopje continues with its non-observance of the Good Neighbor Agreement,” Dimiter Tzanchev said. Bulgaria supports the digital green certificate which will facilitate free and safe travel and will help the recovery of the tourism industry, he added.

Regarding the implementation of the Agreement with the UK, he described as “discriminatory” the work visa fees for citizens of the EU countries, among them Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry states.
