The members of the newly-established National Assembly Committee on Legal Affairs have been discussing amendments to Bulgaria's Electoral Code, informed the reporter of the Bulgarian National Radio Silvia Velikova. Representatives of all Parliamentary groups except for BSP and MRF have drafted amendments to the Electoral Code.

The draft legislation of "Stand up! Thugs out!" party, "There is Such a People" party and the coalition "Democratic Bulgaria" lay the emphasis on the voting of Bulgarians abroad. According to their proposals, Bulgaria should lift the restrictions on the number of polling stations abroad. Moreover, this country should provide an opportunity for electronic and postal voting.

GERB/SDS coalition proposed the introduction of a two-round majority voting system.

The MPs agreed to discuss the proposal for moratorium on concessions and the sale of publicly owned municipal hospitals, as well as some appointments in state-owned enterprises, submitted by BSP MP Kornelia Ninova.
