Bulgaria’s wrestlers earn two more medals at European Wrestling Championships

Bulgaria’s female wrestler Yuliana Yaneva earned a bronze medal at the 2021 European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw in the 72 kilogram category competition. Yaneva lost the final to Alla Belinska (Ukraine).

Evelina Nikolova claimed a bronze medal in the 57 kilogram category competition. Nikolova scored two victories versus Mathilde Riviere (France) and Svetlana Lipatova of Russia who earned gold medal at the 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup in Belgrade.

So far, Bulgaria has earned five medals at this year’s European Wrestling Championships. Earlier, Bilyana Dudova claimed the gold medal in the 59 kg category. Miglena Selishka (50 kg category) and Miroslav Kirov (74 kg category) earned silver medals.
