21% drop in newly registered coronavirus cases in Bulgaria on a weekly basis

1,850 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 10.2% of the 17,987 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active cases is 52,509. The highest number of new infections was registered in Sofia - 375, followed by Plovdiv - 180 and Varna with 170.

7,480 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 714 of them in intensive care. 81 have died in the past 24 hours, a 14% drop in the number of deaths for the week. 3,375 is the number of recoveries.

16, 749  doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of vaccinations to over 750,000. The number of people who have received their second dose of vaccine is 177,995.
