Former chief of Sofia Traffic Police detained

The former head of the Sofia Traffic Police, Tencho Tenev, has been detained. This happened during an operation of the Internal Security Directorate at the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor's Office. According to BNR reporter Nikolay Hristov, Tenev was detained as part of an investigation over a crime committed in the line of duty.

More than a year ago, Tenev was transferred from his position in the Traffic Police in Sofia to Asenovgrad, where he heads the Security Police Department.
