Minister of Finance: Some companies receive large financial resources from the state

There is a number of companies receiving large resources from the state, the Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev has told BNR. According to him, the funds were most probably used for corruption and the purchase of votes.

In the previous year alone, 13-14 companies received over 1.5 billion euros and by April 2021 some 750 million euros more were transferred to four companies. Another analysis has shown huge cash resources - money that companies do not keep in a bank, but claim it is stored in a safe. "If these funds are not in the safe, where are they?” the minister asked.

Assen Vassilev said that no new debt will be needed by July and that this country was doing well in fiscal terms.
