In a letter, Bulgaria'sMinister of Social Affairs Galab Donev has invited a delegation of the Russian authorities to visit Bulgarian resorts and on the spot inspect the measures taken for the safety of tourists amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR) has announced.
The letter emphasizes that Russian-Bulgarian relations are based on long-standing traditions and historical ties, and that Russia is a priority tourist market for Bulgaria. It is recalled that before the pandemic hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens chose Bulgaria for their holiday because of the diversity of the Bulgarian tourist product.
Donev also recalls that from May 1, 2021, Bulgaria opened its borders to Russian tourists, and already issues entry visas.
