Bulgaria's caretaker Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov told BNR that he was considering whether it made sense to refer the actions of former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to the prosecutor's office, given that the institution has been turned into a political weapon.

The Minister announced that since the caretaker cabinet has been in power, the prosecutor's office has initiated numerous court proceedings "like on a conveyor belt" in order to hinder the work of the Ministry of Interior.
"Boyko Borissov has no reason to fear being arrested because he owns the Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev who addresses him with the words "Boss", the minister commented and asked the following question: "Why didn't Geshev invade, as he did in the presidency, Borissov's residence instead where photos showed gold bars and banknotes?”.
For his part, Boyko Borissov said that the caretaker government was fighting only with GERB, and that there was no evidence of wiretapping of opposition politicians.
