The National Health Insurance Fund and the Bulgarian Medical Union are starting negotiations for an annex to the National Framework Agreement 2020-2022. The annex provides for the effective application of the "money follows the patient" principle, while respecting the patient's right to choose a medical institution; reducing the disparities in the remuneration of physicians; introduction of an electronic document of the medical history; a change in the procedure for the provision of emergency medical care in order to eliminate the 24-hour availability of general practitioners, etc.
