“What I found was careless negligence in all structures,” Agriculture Minister in the caretaker cabinet Prof. Hristo Bozukov said for the BNR’s Horizont channel.

That is why he has launched staff changes. Prof. Bozukov gave as an example the state forest enterprises which have not been managing Bulgarian forests well, and have turned them into logging enterprises “because their own salaries depend on the financial results, and these salaries are substantial”. Minister Bozukov stated that in certain regions the population was being “persuaded” and “pressured in one direction or another” by forest enterprises staff. The State Fund Agriculture is to be audited.

“The Fund has certain small reserves, we have filed an application to the European Commission for this money, so that we can assist sectors such as rose production and bee-keeping,” Minister Hristo Bozukov stated.
